Real Estate Explained: CRS Designation

Table of Contents

Real estate agents can have many different designations – but what do they all mean? Here is an explanation of one of my designations, a Certified Residential Specialist.

The Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation is the highest credential awarded to residential sales agents, managers, and brokers. This designation is given to agents that have been a licensed real estate agent for more than ten years, have had 150 transactions total (or an average of $1 million per year with at least 40 transactions), and 16 hours of education courses from the Residential Real Estate Council (RRC). The RRC helps a CRS Designee stand out in their area. This is not only a recognition of expertise but also motivation to bring the best to their clients.
